What does GED stand for?
GED stands for General Education Development or General Education Diploma. The GED is an internationally recognized test. Passing the GED test gives those who did not complete high school the opportunity to earn their high school equivalency credential. The GED Testing Service is a joint venture of the American Council on Education. Pearson is the sole developer for the GED test. The test is taken on a computer and in person. What are the courses content on GED?
The GED® test is designed to measure the skills and knowledge equivalent to a high school course of study. The five content areas that comprise the GED® test are Mathematics.
Language arts, reading;
Language arts, writing (including essay)
Eligibility criteria for GED
The candidate should be at least 18 years old.
Criteria for Passing GED test
Student need to obtain at least 410 marks in each subject out of 800. Collectively there is 4000 full marks and the student need to obtain at least 2250 marks for passing GED test.
The course is valid and recognized all around the world however the government of Nepal has prepared plan to provide recognition for studying in Nepal as well.
